Green Waste

Over the last two years I have highlighted the ongoing problems of illegal green waste dumping of grass, hedge cuttings and leaves. There are facilities in Ballyogan Civic Recycling Park for garden waste.

Graffiti

Graffiti is a pet hate of mine and is sadly visible across the county. I have attended graffiti removal training and DLRCC have removal kits available to residents' associations. Graffiti is a form of vandalism and its removal costs the County Council money that could be spent more productively elsewhere. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to organise a removal kit for your organisation.

Leading up to the Dublin City Marathons my Independent Councillor colleague, Seamas O'Neill and I compiled a list of areas on the marathon route that were affected badly by graffiti and asked Council officials to have it removed.

Green Flags in Schools

I welcome the Green Flag initiative that is encouraged in all schools and was delighted to be asked to officiate at Oatlands Primary School when they received their second green flag in 2015.
