In June 2019 I was delighted to attend Independent Senator John Dolan’s briefing in Leinster House where he outlined his proposed Private Members Bill– Community Participation (Disability) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill 2019 and the subsequent debate of the Bill in the Seanad. The aim of the Bill is to help make the lived environment more inclusive for people with disabilities.

Following on from that I tabled a motion asking the Council to support the provision of at least one universal designed playground in one of our DLR parks.
